Linda & Richard
Linda & Richard
Photographing Linda & Richard’s wedding was a real treat. Set in the scenic Lincolnshire countryside, just outside Skegness, at a local church just a couple of minutes walk from where both Richard & Linda live. I was able to capture the guests arriving at the church, see the groom, his best man and ushers patiently awaiting the bride. The ceremony service was lovely and what made it even more special was that both Linda & Richard are regularly involved with their local church and it was the first wedding they had in the small church in the village of Irby in the Marsh in many years.
Linda arrived looking beautiful and I photographed her, her daughter Chrissy, maid of honour Barbara and the sweet flower girl walking down the aisle. After a lovely ceremony we headed outside to take some group photos and celebrate Linda & Richard’s marriage with some confetti thrown in the air.
We then headed down the road to the quaint Windmill restaurant in Burgh Le Marsh for the reception. The Windmill made for some super group photos and photos of the bride and groom. The decor inside was lovely and each table was aptly named after cows that Linda had named, as Richard is a dairy farmer. This was followed by a superb 3 course wedding breakfast and splendid speeches from Barbara, Richard and his best man, John. The cake looked fantastic and kept in with the dairy theme with a couple of cow figures on the top. The cake was cut and shortly afterwards Richard and Linda slowed danced into the night. What a wonderful country wedding to experience.
